The summer flew by and we are trying to soak up every last moment of fall before winter really sets in. We had a great first season on the farm and in many ways we exceeded our own expectations. We produced more than enough food for our own family and pursued opportunities to sell both at a farmer’s market as well as on our own property. As we have been reflecting on our first season, we are feeling excited about season #2! With that said, we know we still have a lot to learn to increase the efficiency of our farming systems as well as the quality of our crops. 

 

Right now we have a unique opportunity to participate in the Market Gardener’s Masterclass with J.M. Fortier. He is one of the leading international experts on small-scale, biointensive, organic farming and his book The Market Gardener was a valuable guide for us this first year. To cover our tuition in the course, we are running a crowdfunding campaign with Ulule for the next 30 days.
