How to grow, harvest and prepare green beans
In our seed to plate series we’re showing you how we grow, harvest and prepare each crop. We provide a sneak peak of the information included here and you can find the full content in our Seed to Plate Tutorials.
This week we’re going in-depth with green beans. They are a great warm season crop that works well in our intensive spacing and provide an abundance of beans when they come in. They are also great nutrient dense food, providing vitamin C, dietary fiber, folate, vitamin A and silicon (needed for healthy bones, skin and hair).
Green beans are one of our go-to side dishes because they cook up so quickly and easily. In this video we will share our growing strategies along with a simple green bean sauté you can whip up this evening. For the full recipe, click here.
