Simple Green Bean Sauté

Green beans are one of our family’s favorite go-to side dishes. They are versatile and can be pulled together quickly. While they are best fresh, in-season, they also freeze really well so we can enjoy them all winter long.

While we cook green beans multiply ways, our classic preparation is a simple sauté with butter, garlic, lemon zest and toasted nuts. We usually go with pine nuts or sliced almonds, but any toasted nut would add great flavor and crunch to the dish.

This dish literally takes 10 minutes to complete, so it is great as a last minute addition to any dinner to get in some extra veggies!
